Bacillus coagulans, once also called Lactobacillus sporogenes, is a unique strain of live bacterial cultures that produce a spore form in the form of endospores. These are bacteria that are distinguished by their remarkable stability and resistance to harsh environmental conditions – including high temperatures or acid found in the digestive tract. This makes them reach the intestines safely, where they produce L(+) lactic acid, the more beneficial form of the compound. LactoSpore® bacteria are vegan live bacteria cultures that have received GRAS status according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and are considered safe for general use.
Inulin is a compound made up of more than 30 molecules of simple sugars that are linked by β-2,1-glycosidic bonds into an unbranched chain of. It is a polysaccharide of plant origin, which is a reserve store.
